Manchester United have named their 25
man squad for the Barclays Premier League this season. Each team in the
league this season needs to name no more than 17 players who do not
fulfil the Home Grown Player Criteria. United have named 13 players who
do fulfil the home-grown criteria, leaving 12 players that are not
classed as home-grown. Arsenal and Chelsea for instance have named just
five players who are classed as home-grown, which is the minimum
requirement for their squads, but just shows why the FA are moaning
about young English players coming throughout some of the bigger teams
in the league.
